Teacher Education Graduate Programs
Information Technology Endorsement

The Nebraska Department of Education established a supplemental Information Technology Endorsement for teachers who have a Nebraska teaching certificate. The Teacher Education Department at the University of Nebraska at Omaha offers this Information Technology Endorsement at the graduate level.

Endorsement Guidelines

• 15 Total Semester Hours (aligned to the 7 objectives in the Rule 24 guidelines)
• A minimum of 40 hours of related clinical experiences at elementary and secondary levels
• Objectives include: 1) ethical, human, legal and social issues, 2) classroom and instructional management, 3) planning learning environments, 4) basic programming concepts, 5) infrastructure and support, 6) interactive media, and 7) network systems
