Bilingual Education Endorsement

Teachers who demonstrate oral, reading, and writing proficiency in Spanish are encouraged to become endorsed as a bilingual educator. This endorsement is only taught at UNO and is valid for all educators who work in a school setting with bilingual students and/or classes. Middle and high school teachers of Spanish also find this program helpful. In addition to a valid teaching certificate, the program requires 21 hours of coursework and a 3-credit-hour practicum. Several of the courses are taught exclusively in Spanish. This endorsement program can be incorporated into Master's degrees in teacher education. Contact your advisor for possibilities.
