Instruction in Urban Schools (INUS)
The Instruction in Urban Schools Certificate is designed to provide K-12 professionals the historical, theoretical, research, and practical knowledge related to teaching and learning. This knowledge can be applied to all school settings, especially those with diverse student populations.
Students will develop, with their certificate advisor, an individualized plan of study. The plan of study must be approved by the student’s assigned certificate advisor.
The certificate coursework can be applied toward a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education or Secondary Education. This certificate does not lead to initial teacher licensure or added endorsements.
