Academic Program
Undergraduate Speech-Language Pathology
Description: |
The undergraduate speech-language pathology major is designed to prepare students to provide the foundational skills for candidates who will pursue a graduate degree in speech-language pathology in either PK-12 school or medical settings. A minimum of 125 credit hours is required for graduation and students majoring in speech-language pathology must maintain an overall GPA of 2.8 or better. A GPA of 3.0 or better within the major area is required prior to admission into SPED 4510, Basic Clinical Practicum in Speech Pathology. An undergraduate degree in speech-language pathology is a pre-professional degree which does not lead to a certificate endorsement in speech pathology to work in Nebraska schools. The certificate endorsement is recommended upon completion of the Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. |
