Field Experience Questions:

In what courses will I have to complete a field experience?
All students in the Teacher Preparation Program will complete a series of field experiences. First in the sequence is the Beginning Field Experience, which is in conjunction with EDUC 2010. Next in the sequence is the Intermediate Field Experience, which is in conjunction with EDUC 2510 and 2520. Following will be Advanced Field Experiences, which will vary depending on your major area of study. For more information, visit the College of Education's website at:

If I already work in a school in some capacity, can I do my field experience there?
Typically, you will do your field experience in a setting outside of your normal working situation.

Where can I get information about an upcoming field experience?
You will receive information about field experiences from an Office of Student Services staff member or your class instructor at the beginning of the semester in which you are participating in a particular field experience. Additional information can be found at:

Can I arrange my own field experience?
No. The Office of Student Services (Roskens Hall 204) will work with your instructor and area school districts to make the proper arrangements.
