Teacher Certification

Teacher certification (licensure) in Nebraska is based on completion of a teacher preparation program at an accredited teacher training institution. The College of Education is accredited for teacher certification by the Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) and the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). The College assists candidates for certification through the initial programs, added endorsements, changes of certificate types, and certificate renewals.
