As a part of the College of Education, the Career Services Office offers support and guidance to current students and alumni in the fields of education. Some of our services include the following:
Resume Assistance – Do you need help creating a high quality resume? Make an appointment to have your resume and/or cover letter reviewed by our Career Services staff. This service is free to students and alumni.
Mock Interviews – practice interviews are conducted at various points throughout the year. Call and make an appointment to schedule a practice interview. You will be asked many questions that you can expect to hear during your actual interviews. You will also have the opportunity to discuss your answers and be given feedback by Administrators.
Education Job Fairs – each spring, the Career Services Office in the College of Education brings school districts and candidates together to discuss employment opportunities. Dress professionally and bring several copies of your resume for an opportunity to meet with school district representatives. For more information, click on the ‘Education Job Fair’ tab below. Information related to International Teaching Job Fairs is also available through the Career Services Office.
Professional Portfolio Assistance – The College of Education no longer maintains student/alumni Credential Files. You will be responsible for organizing and maintaining your own Professional Portfolio, which will contain several professional documents to submit along with your applications for teaching positions. Call or email us, or click on the link below for information on how to organize these materials.
To set up an appointment in any of these areas, call us at 402.554.3482 or email Vicki Lentfer at firstname.lastname@example.org.
