Sherri Duskey Rinker

…in Omaha: Sunday, April 22, 2012

Sherri Duskey Rinker, author of the New York Times best seller Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site, will be reading her book at the Kickoff Event for the Omaha Week of the Young Child held at the Omaha Children's Museum (500 South 20th Street), on Sunday, April 22, 2012! While visiting the Omaha Children's Museum, Ms. Rinker will be reading her book on the half hour beginning at 11:30 am through 1:30 pm and will personalize her books until 2:00 pm.

Sherri Duskey Rinker additionally will present and autograph books at the Abrahams Branch Library (located at 5111 North 90th Street) from 3-4 pm on Sunday (4/22) afternoon. This event is generously sponsored by Carol Gendler, the Nebraska Arts Council, the UNO College of Education, and the Omaha Public Library.

With a focus on the role that illustrators play as they transform text into visual meaning, Jenny Sue Kostecki-Shaw will visit with students in six Omaha schools to share her art and her vocation as an author and illustrator of children's books. A popular author in schools due to her book topics focused on diversity, Kostecki-Shaw additionally will conduct a presentation at UNO that is free and open to all.
