Metropolitan Omaha Educational Consortium
Teaming for Quality Education

MOEC is a model collaboration between the college, the twelve metropolitan area school districts, and two educational service units.  The consortium is a catalyst for identifying high priority issues common to member organizations and addressing these issues through joint task forces and projects.  MOEC provides a forum for professionals from across the educational spectrum and community to share information and work together in the areas of teaching, research, and service.  The resulting synergy of ideas and resources makes MOEC a powerful tool for improving education.

MOEC 20th Anniversary

MOEC was established on August 11, 1988 and is celebrating its 20th Anniversary this year. Collaborative efforts that have successfully enhanced the quality of education in the metro area to date include: The Mentor Project (19 years), The CADRE Project (15 years), TAP (10 years), and NBPTS (4 years).

A reception will be held March 26, 2009 at the Alumni Center from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m.
