Marti Rosen-Atherton is
the Coordinator and Instructor in the Freshman Success Courses, a professional
counselor, and an academic advisor for Student Development Services. She
also serves as a university Ombudsman and teaches one of our largest and most
popular courses - Health Concepts of Sexual Development. Away from the
University, Marti is a private practice psychotherapist specializing in
individual and couples' counseling with adults. She is constantly sought
out as a speaker.
One
of her supporters wrote, "There are few professors at any university who
touch the lives of their students in deep and lasting ways. Marti is one
such instructor." Another wrote, "Marti offers a casual, yet
comprehensive approach to some often sensitive subject matter in her
class. Her treatment of each topic is direct honest and straight
forward. This approach makes her acceptable and believable to the majority
of students."
