Affiliated Clinical Sites 

CREIGHTON UNIVERSITY

The Mission of Creighton University Athletic Training is to serve as the initial allied health care provider for Creighton University student-athletes and to provide access to other health care professionals as needed. Services include prevention, assessment, management and rehabilitation of athletic-related injuries and illnesses.

Creighton University Athletic Training is committed to the highest standards of care consistent with the National Athletic Trainers Association Code of Professional Practice and the credentialing statutes of the state of Nebraska.

Creighton University athletic trainers work in cooperation with, and under the supervision of, physicians to provide the best possible care for student-athletes. Creighton University’s staff of four full-time certified and state licensed athletic trainers consists of Head Athletic Trainer Ben McNair (men’s basketball, men’s and women’s cross country, dance team), and Assistant Athletic Trainers Alison Mosel (women’s basketball, crew), Curtis Self (baseball), and Sean Mohatt (men’s soccer, men's and women's golf), and graduate assistant Athletic Trainers Ryan Williams (women's soccer, softball) and Morgan Nichols (volleyball, men's and women's tennis).

UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA MEDICAL CENTER (UNMC)

 The Family Practice/Sports Medicine department at UNMC serves as a general medicine clinical site for athletic training students. Our athletic training students observe our team physicians in their family practice clinic, seeing a variety of patients with unique medical conditions. Athletic training students typically gain these clinical experiences during their Orthopedic and Medical Aspects of Athletic Training course.

 

ORTHOWEST, P.C.

OrthoWest, P.C. is a private physician partnership established to provide quality, efficient, and professional orthopaedic surgery, sports medicine, and preventive health care services to our patients. Many of the orthopedic surgeons and physician assistants at OrthoWest, P.C. serve as clinical instructors for the UNO ATEP. In addition, athletic training students gain clinical education through clinic and surgical observations.

  

ALEGENT HEALTH

Alegent Health offers a comprehensive range of services and know-how to help prevent, as well as care for, sports-related injuries. Alegent Health provides athletic training services to many local high schools. Our athletic training students learn through these clinical instructors, as well as through observation with Dr. Sean Mullendore at a family practice/sports medicine office in Bellevue, Nebraska.

 

ATHLETES' TRAINING CENTER

Athletes' Training Center is a physical therapy/fitness/sports performance clinic located in western Omaha. The company's only goal is to provide the Omaha community and the Midwest region the most advanced care for orthopedic injuries as well as provide a full service fitness and athletic development coaching facility dedicated to meeting our clients needs and goals. Athletic training students gain experience with dual-credentialed physical therapist/athletic trainers, as well as strength and conditioning professionals.
