Mercy High School is a private, Catholic all- girls school located in central Omaha. Mercy High school is one of 41 Mercy secondary schools sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas. There are 349 students attending Mercy for the 2001-2002 school year. Mercy is a highly competitive Class B high school, sponsoring 8 interscholastic sports, which includes 12 different athletic teams and 2 cooperative teams with Omaha Public Schools. Athletic training students gaining clinical experience at Mercy help provide care for Mercy's 140 student athletes and are given the opportunity to gain knowledge of the organization and administration of a high school athletic training program.
